The associative property only changes the grouping and keeps the same order. Example- (2+3)+(4+5) -> 2+(3+4)+5
The communities property changes the order only. Example- 3+2 -> 2+3
The distributive property distributes the number from the outside of the parenthesis to the numbers inside
Example- 4(5+3) so you distribute the 4 to the 5 and 3 by multiplying. The answer would be 20+12
