I think the answer is: each shelf is 76 inches, if you take 76x5 it comes out to 380 so that would leave the 20 inches left over, hope that makes sense

THE 5 IDENTICAL SHELVES WOULD  have to be 76 because if you take 400 - 20 (because that left over) you get 380/5 you get 76 and to check your work you do 5x76=380+20 you get 400 so 76 is you answer

Round the number to the hundredths place.
lara31 [8.8K]
First, look at the digits less than one one-hundredth (\frac{1}{100}, or .01):
0.00416
See if that number is closer to the higher or lower hundredth:
(if the first digit is 5 or greater, then higher;
if the first digit is 4 or lower, then lower)
Since 4 is closer to the lower hundred, round down
0.00416 -> 0.00000
Add this to the digits we didn't touch:
<span>17,546.32000 + 0.00000 = 17,546.32
</span>17,546.32416 rounded to the nearest hundredth is C. <span>17,546.32</span>

Answer:

C) The cost increases $2.50 for every additional pair of shoes rented.

Step-by-step explanation:

Notice a pattern. When you buy a new pair of shoes, the total gets increased by $2.50 depending on how many pairs of shoes you buy. For example, starting with 1 pair of shoes, it costs $2.50, but when you buy another pair, the cost is $2.50+$2.50=2*$2.50=$5.00, and so on...

Therefore, the correct choice is C
