Answer:

3X + 5Y = 100

Explanation:

Given that a consumer has $ 100 to spend on two goods X and Y with prices $ 3 and $ 5 respectively, the equation that represents this distribution is the following:

3X + 5Y = 100

Thus, the consumer may consume different combinations of products, as long as the sum of both amounts is $100 as a final result. For instance:

3x20 + 5X8 = 100

60 + 40 = 100

3x5 + 5x17 = 100

15 + 85 = 100

If the Ricardian equivalence theorem LOADING... is not relevant, then an income-tax-rate cut A. will result in a multiple time
LenKa [72]

Answer:

The correct answer is D. will result in a multiple times higher decrease in equilibrium real GDP in the short run; however, a tax-rate reduction will increase the automatic-stabilizer properties of the tax system, so equilibrium real GDP would be less stable.

Explanation:

Ricardian Equivalence is an economic theory that suggests that when a government increases expenses financed with debt to try to stimulate demand, demand does not really undergo any change.

This is because increases in the public deficit will lead to higher taxes in the future. To keep their consumption pattern stable, taxpayers will reduce consumption and increase their savings in order to offset the cost of this future tax increase.

If taxpayers reduce their consumption and increase their savings by the same amount as the debt to be returned by the government, there is no effect on aggregate demand.

The fundamental concept of Ricardian equivalence is that it does not matter which method the government chooses to increase spending, whether by issuing public debt or through taxes (applying an expansive fiscal policy), the result will be the same and demand will remain unchanged.

Do you think it is easier to increase or decrease government spending
Anna35 [415]
It is much easier to increase government spending, because it gives a temporary boost, whereas decreasing it would take away the benefits you had before, and might mess up other "things" that relied on that part you just removed to decrease government spending.

What is at saturated market like for sellers?
garri49 [273]

The meaning of being saturated or reaching the point of saturation in the business terms is the time in which a market does not generate any more demand for a certain market. This may be due to increase competition, decrease need or the product became unusable. For sellers, saturation means two things, first is that this is the chance for you to give your business a makeover. You can level up your products or service or try a new strategy for your business. The endpoint is that you need to diversify so that the customers will not get tired of the same product of service all over again. If you observed that with all the things you possibly did to keep the product or service growing, you haven't seen any change the market demand then the second thing you may want to do is to stop your business because it will only be a waste of time, research and money.
