Explain the big stick policy (no search up answers)
Vinvika [58]

Answer: Theodore Roosevelt's Foreign Policy.

Explanation:

In that position, young President Theodor Roosevelt considered it an ideal time for the United States to establish itself as the world's largest power. After the American-Spanish war, Zrmlja proved that it was dominant in the military sense, and based on that experience, it continued to build that policy. Roosevelt believed that the United States could be a major factor in the Western Hemisphere. Roosevelt began a project to build the Panama Canal in the early 20th century. That was part of the policy of the "Big Stick". In that way, the united states would realize the intention of the world military leader.

The canal's construction had a financial basis in the context of trade and geostrategic significance. The "Big Stick" policy was also reflected when sending the navy to Colombia; Roosevelt tried to settle the new situation in Panama. In this way, Roosevelt helped Panama enter the world union of countries, but at a certain price. Panama was an American protectorate until the beginning of World War II (1939). Thus Roosevelt ensured the smooth construction of the Panama Canal.

postnew [5]

A. It is true that entrepreneurs who create their own business have to look for customers, unlike employees who join an existing company where the customer-base is already established.

B. The cost of health insurance is truly one of the biggest challenges faced by owners of newly-created, small businesses. It is even more of a problem when the entrepreneur starts having more and more employees to pay insurance for (several thousand dollars per employee per year).

C. As an entrepreneur, you are responsible for everything when you create your business. There is indeed a wide variety of subjects you have to take decisions about, and this can be very stressful.

D. If you work for yourself, you do not have any boss and can accomodate your working hours to some extent. This is false.

What factor explained Florida’s six-year wait to have its request for statehood approved?
Temka [501]

Florida took time in becoming a state because it faced the same dilemma as Missouri as it entered the Union.  They had to wait for a certain period of time to ensure that the balance between Free State and slave remains intact.  They became a state when Iowa was admitted into the Union which was a free state thereby maintaining the balance.

Explain what segregation meant in the everyday life of a minority in Texas.
drek231 [11]

Answer:

Segregation is the physical separation of peoples on the basis of ethnicity and social custom historically applied to separate African Americans and Mexican Americans from whites in Texas. Although the law specified until 1890 that black schools were to have equal access to the common school fund, they often did not.
