Answer:

Henny = (x-8) dollars

Step-by-step explanation:

Janet's has x dollars.

Henny has $8 less than Janet. It means, the difference between the dollars own by Janet's and Henny is 8.

Henny has = (x-8) dollars

Hence, the expression that shows dollars Hanley has is (x-8).

Examples: Determine if the graph is a function. If it is, state the domain and range.
NemiM [27]

Answer:

Another way to identify the domain and range of functions is by using graphs. Because the domain refers to the set of possible input values, the domain of a graph consists of all the input values shown on the x-axis. The range is the set of possible output values, which are shown on the y-axis.Jan 8, 2019

You are the operations manager for an airline and you are considering a higher fare level for passengers in aisle seats. How man
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

A)n= 703.96

B)n= 602.308

Step by step Explanation:

Given that you want to be 99% confident that the sample percentage is within 3.1 percentage points of the true population percentage.

Then z/2 = 1.645

And M = 3.1% = 0.031

A)Nothing is known therefore,

p = q = 0.50

E=0.031

For 90% confidence, z = 1.645

n = (zα/₂)²(p)(1-p)/M²

n= 1.645²× 0.5 × 0.5/0.031²

n= 703.96

Therefore, 703.96randomly selected air passengers must be surveyed to be 99%

B)we know that recent surveys surgest that about 38% of all air passengers prefer an aisle seat, thus p = 35% = 0.35

n = (zα/₂)²(p)(1-p)/M²

n= (1.645²× 0.31 × 0.69)/0.031²

n= 602.308

Hence, 602.308 randomly selected air passengers must be surveyed to be 90% confident that the sample percentage is within 3.1 percentage points of the true population percentage.

Suppose that a class contains 15 boys and 30 girls, and that 10 students are to be selected at random for a special assignment.
natka813 [3]
Prob of selected students times prob of selecting boys times prob of selecting 3 boys
total students = 15b + 30g = 45 students

1. 10s/45t = 0.22
2. 15b/45t = 0.33
3. 3b/15b = 0.2

0.22×0.33×0.2=0.0148

1.48%

Tell me how to shade the area on the grid that shows 7/8x3/4
viva [34]
If the grid is an 8x8:

To solve this we need to convert 3/4 into a fraction x/8 so that they have the same denominator.

To do this we can set a porportion and find a common denominator. 4 x 2 = 8 so the common denominator would be 8 and the rule would be x 2 so 4 x 2 = 8 and 3 x 2 = 6

So we get 7/8 and 6/8

From top to bottom shade 7 spaces in a row

From left to right shade 6 spaces in a row

Fill in the spaces in between to make a square

I hope this helps!
