Its purpose was to raise revenue through the colonial customs service and to give customs agents more power and latitude with respect to executing seizures and enforcing customs law.

pochemuha

Answer:

B. the Sahel

Explanation:

The Sahel is the strip of the land and region of central-western Africa. It consists of the area between Sahara on the North and the savanna on the south. It goes through several African countries – Algeria, Mauritania, Central African Republic, Nigeria, Mali, Niger, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Chad, Senegal, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Eritrea.
