Line q has a slope of 5/3. Line r is parallel to line q. What is the slope if line r?
seropon [69]

Answer:

The slope remains a constant m=\frac{5}{3} as it is parallel.

Explanation:

1. Line Q is defined as a slope of \frac{5}{3}; i.e. y=\frac{5}{3}

2. Line R is defined to be parallel of Line Q.

3. Line Q is linear and has no domain restrictions.

The definition of being parallel requires the same slope.

Help with this question! I don't understand how to get the answer :(

Ur angles are supplementary...that means they equal 180 degrees when added

4x + 16 + 2x - 22 = 180....combine like terms
6x - 6 = 180...add 6 to both sides
6x = 186 ...divide both sides by 6
x = 186/6
x = 31

< 1 = 4x + 16
< 1 = 4(31) + 16
< 1 = 124 + 16
< 1 = 140

Answer:

Probability of picking an even and then even number = \frac{1}{6}

Step-by-step explanation:

Probability of picking a card with even number,

P(even 1) = \frac{\text{favorable outcomes}}{\text{Total outcomes}} = \frac{\text{even cards}}{\text{Total number of cards}}

               = \frac{2}{4}

               = \frac{1}{2}

Followed by picking a card which is even without putting the first card back.

So an even card is to be picked out of remaining 3 cards.

P(even 2) = \frac{\text{favorable outcomes}}{\text{Total outcomes}}

                = \frac{1}{3}

Now probability of both events = P(even 1) × P(even 2)

= \frac{1}{2}\times \frac{1}{3}

= \frac{1}{6}

Therefore, probability of both the events will be \frac{1}{6}.
