Nearly 620,000 soldiers were dead during the Civil War time and more than 400,000 were captured as captives.

<u>Explanation:</u>

American Civil War roughly took more lives as the nation's war. The north fought with 2 million soldiers and the south with just 750,000 soldiers. The Estimated dead of north 360,000 and the soldiers died from the south side 250,000.

Yet the North won the war. Both Confederates and Union soldiers captured opponent soldiers as prisoners. 211,000 Union soldiers by Confederates and 426,000 Confederates by Union Soldiers.

They were sent to war camps and most of them died there and also they were paroled in the field. Some of them were imprisoned during their whole lifetime.

There wasn't much of a notion yet of religious diversity within the same community or society. Each principality or territory tended to have one official religion operating in it.
