The taiga forest is situated in the Northern Hemisphere, south of the Arctic circle. It between the tundra (north) and the temperate forest (south). The climatic conditions of the taiga forest are very cold winters and cool summers.
The summers are short whereas winters are long. The precipitation ranges from moderate to low.
