After their car broke down the Lambert brothers had to walk to work. John walked .27 miles, Bill walked .6 miles, and Larry walk

ed .2 miles. Who walked the furthest?
I am leaning toward John, but am iffy about whether or not it is a "trick" question.

.27=0.27, .6=0.6, .2=0.2

The biggest number of all three is 0.6, so the one who walked the furthest is Bill.

Bill walked the most. Put the decimals into percentages. .27 is 27%, .6 is 60%, and .2 is 20%, so Bill with 60% walked the furthest.

A cryptographic hash takes a message as input and produces a fixed-length string as output, called the digital fingerprint. A br
Allushta [10]

Answer:

1.85x10^{19} attempts are required to find a matching pair if the digital fingerprint is 64 bits long.

3.40*10^{38} attempts are required to find a matching pair if the digital fingerprint is 128 bits long.

Step-by-step explanation:

Each bit has two options. So

How many attempts are required to find a matching pair if the digital fingerprint is 64 bits long?

So for each of the 64 bits, we have the following number of options.

2 - 2 - 2 - 2 -... - 2

So, in all, there are

T = 2^{64} = 1.85x10^{19}

options.

So, 1.85x10^{19} attempts are required to find a matching pair if the digital fingerprint is 64 bits long.

128 bits long?

Using the same logic as the first question.

T = 2^{128} = 3.40*10^{38}

So, 3.40*10^{38} attempts are required to find a matching pair if the digital fingerprint is 128 bits long.

Answer:

1.08T/ (1+8/100)T

Step-by-step explanation:

There is an easier way instead of doing 0.08 of t and then adding. You can do 108% of t which immediately gives the answer.

Hope this helps:)
