The most important function of the environmental policy is to keep a track of human activities that can impact the environment.

Further explanation:

The environmental policy is a set of rules and regulations, laws, and policies made up by the government or organization regarding environmental issues. Ecosystem management, biodiversity maintenance, and water and air pollution are some of the issues concerning the environment. The policies which involve regulation of substances like pesticides and other industrial wastes also come under environmental policy. One of the most deliberate roles of environmental policy is to regulate and direct human activities so as to prevent the environment and its resources from the harmful effects. These policies also make sure that humans are not affected by the harmful changes in their environments.

The government intervention through policies for the protection of the environment is necessary as natural resources are not owned by any one person and tend to be over-exploited. When the waste products are produced by the factor along with the main product, it is released into the nearby water body, thereby leaving it contaminated. This water might be used by other people for drinking purposes but due to the contamination the society has to bear the extra cost of cleaning the water. Therefore, the environmental policy has provision which states that the dumping of factory waste must be done only when it is free of any hazardous chemicals. Another problem is that the common people have the incentive to utilize natural resources to any extent. With the least interference from the government the resources will be overused.

How does interphase prepare cells for mitosis?
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

Growth of cell and replication of DNA

Explanation:

\large{ \underline{ \bf{Interphase}}}

 • It is a long, non-dividing, growing phase of the cell cycle, where the cell prepares itself for division.
 • It represents the most active stage of the cell cycle where both cell growth and DNA replication occur in an orderly manner.
 • It is the period of intense growth and synthesis in which a cell stocks all the biomolecules required during cell division.
 • It is called the resting phase because there is no apparent activity related to cell division rather, it deals with the changes that occur in a cell and the nucleus, before it enters into cell division.

Which of the above molecules contains a carboxyl functional group?

(See attached image)
cestrela7 [59]

B

Explanation:

The molecule that contains the carboxyl functional group is option C.

The structure is that of an octanoic acid also known as caprilyic acid.

 • Alkanioc acids are organic acids containing the carboxyl group.
 • Their general formula is RCOOH
 • The R is the hydrogen atom or alkyl or aryl group.
 • Higher homologues are usually derived from carboxylic acids.

Carboxylic acids are classified based on the number of caboxyl groups they are made of.
