This question is a thought experiment.

It's essentially asking "Is 2πr² the same or not the same as π(2r)²?"

To figure it out, simply simplify π(2r)²

=π(2r)²

=π(2r)(2r)

=4πr²

Quite obviously, 2πr² is not the same as 4πr²
