<h3>Answer:   Perimeter of triangle ROA = 33</h3>

=================================================

Explanation:

Points R, O, and A are midpoints of sides XY, YG, and XG respectively.

Because of this, we know that the points cut those sides into two equal halves.

To elaborate, we know the following three facts:

  • Point R is the midpoint of XY, so XR = RY
  • Point O is the midpoint of YG, so YO = OG
  • Point A is the midpoint of XG, so XA = AG

The diagram shows that YO = 14, so OG must be 14 units long as well.

The diagram also shows XA = 8. Since XA = AG, we know that AG = 8.

-----------------------------

Use this information to find the perimeter of triangle XYG.

Perimeter of XYG = sum of all the sides

Perimeter of XYG  = (XY) + (YG) + (XG)

Perimeter of XYG  = (22) + (YO+OG) + (XA+AG)

Perimeter of XYG  = 22 + (14+14) + (8+8)

Perimeter of XYG  = 66

-----------------------------

Then we cut this in half to get the perimeter of triangle ROA.

We do this because each segment of ROA is half that of the corresponding segment of XYG. The midsegments (RA, RO, AO) are cut in half and are parallel to the opposite side.

So,

Perimeter of ROA = (1/2)*(Perimeter of XYG)

Perimeter of ROA = (1/2)*(66)

Perimeter of ROA = 33

Can someone help me immediately on this question having to do with triangle ABC?
SVETLANKA909090 [29]
<h3>Answers:</h3><h3>a. Vertices of triangle ABC are: A, B, C</h3><h3>b. Sides of triangle ABC are: AB, BC, AC</h3><h3>c. The side between angle A and angle C is: side AC</h3><h3>d. The angle between sides AB and CA is: angle A</h3><h3>e. Scalene triangle</h3>

=============================================

Explanations:

  • a. Each uppercase letter represents a point or angle of the triangle.
  • b. Connect two points of a triangle and you get a line segment. The order of the letters does not matter. So AB is the same as BA.
  • c. Like with part b, connecting two angles or points forms a segment.
  • d. Note how the letter "A" is in both AB and CA, so this is the shared angle between the two segments.
  • e. Sides AB, BC, and AC are all different lengths, so we have a scalene triangle. If you had two sides equal to each other, then you'd have an isosceles triangle. If all three sides are equal, then it would be equilateral.

There is no need for a diagram, but if you want, you can draw one out. See the attached image below for the diagram. This diagram should hopefully answer any questions you may have about the explanations above. There are many ways to draw the triangle, so your diagram might look different from mine.

Solve the equations 11(x+10)=132
VladimirAG [237]
11(x+10) = 132

Distributive property

11x + 110 = 132

Now isolate the variable.

11x + 110 = 132
        -110     -110

132 - 110 = 22

11x = 22

11x/11 = 22/11
x= 2

Answer:  x = 2
