Which career role is concerned with helping artists and musical groups find new work opportunities?

My best guess would be their managers. They'd schedule events and find jobs for their clients.

Manager is better than agent. Agents are more involved with promoting the work.
But managers, while they involve booking and career advisement, I'm not sure about finding "new work".
