Here's the way i got my answer :

Complementary angles are two angles that have a sum of 90° ,therefore 35° + X = 90°

X=55° .

to get ∠DBF

180° - 90° = 90 °

to get ∠EBF

∠CBD + ∠DBE + ∠EBF = 180°

35° + 90° + ∠EBF = 180°

∠EBF = 55°
