Based on the picture below:<br><br> Solve for AB
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

AB ≈ 35.93

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the cosine ratio in the right triangle

cos3.5° = \frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse} = \frac{AB}{AC} = \frac{AB}{36}

Multiply both sides by 36

36 × cos3.5° = AB, thus

AB ≈ 35.93 ( to 2 dec. places)

Can you guys help me?
denis-greek [22]
Pretty sure you have to use the Pythagorean Theorem.
a^2+b^2=c^2

So you would plug in your numbers that you already have (6 and 10) But notice that 10 is the hypotenuse (longest side) so
6^2+x=10^2

Then you would solve it and you should end up with 11.6619

What formula do you use to find the area of a circle?
icang [17]
The area of a circle is π (Pi) times the Radius squared:
A = π × r2

Or, when you know the Diameter:

A = (π/4) × D2

Or, when you know the Circumference:

A = C2 / 4π

Hope it helps
