leva [86]

Answer:

North Carolina legislators changed coal ash storage requirements.

Explanation:

After the incident of Duke coal ash spill on February, 2014, there was a loud outcry by many people and environmental activist groups against the Duke Energy for spilling about 39,000 tons of coal ash into the Dan River.

There were numerous lawsuits against Duke Energy and the company had to pay billions of dollars as fine and reparations for the damage caused by them. As a result, the North Carolina legislators also passed a law which changed coal ash storage requirements. The law prohibited building of coal ash ponds near the state's lakes and rivers and stated that coal ash would be treated as any other industrial waste.

Answer:

Foot-In-The-Door Phenomenon.

Explanation:

Based on the scenario being described within the question it can be said that this scenario best exemplifies the Foot-In-The-Door Phenomenon. This phenomenon refers to the tendency in which an individual complies with a certain large request after agreeing to a smaller request. Which is what happened in this scenario since Alisa ultimately agreed to help Rodrigo with his exhibit after getting interested in it, which only happened because she agreed to go help him buy materials at the store.

Should Congress raise taxes to fix our infrastructure
romanna [79]
This is more of a your type of opinion question.  For instance, taxes will bring in more money for the government, right?  However, it will put a bigger hardship on the lower and middle class.  For every action that happens government wise - it has a reaction.

The answer would all be up to you, personally and if you think it'd be a good choice or not.  Personally, I think raising taxes won't make that much of a fix - seeing as the United States is in so much debt.  However, the jobs stimulus packages that are out there are doing great creating jobs.
