The answer is false because every integer is rational. An integer for example,5, can be expressed as 5/1 (which is a rational number)

Willie left the mall and traveled toward the town hall at an average speed of 40 km/h. Gabriella left two hors later and travele
mezya [45]

Answer:

3 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Average speed of Willie = 40 km/h

After 2 hours, Gabriella traveled in opposite direction at an speed of 70 km/h.

After some time, they are 410 km apart.

To find:

Number of hours = ?

Solution:

For the first two hours, Willie traveled alone.

Formula for distance:

Distance = Speed \times Time

Distance traveled in two hours by Willie = 40 \times 2 = 80\ km

Now, they both travel in opposite directions.

So the relative speed is = 40 + 70 = 110 km/h

The distance traveled by them = 410 - 80 = 330 km

Time\ taken = \dfrac{330}{110} = 3\ hours

Therefore, the time taken is 3 hours.

Solve for c.

5c+16.5=13.5+10c
Kruka [31]

Answer:

c = 3/5

Step-by-step explanation:

5c+16.5=13.5+10c

Subtract 5c from each side

5c-5c+16.5=13.5+10c-5c

16.5 = 13.5 +5c

Subtract 13.5 from each side

16.5 -13.5 =13.5-13.5 +5c

3 = 5c

Divide by 5

3/5 = 5c/5

3/5 =c

1
2. Verify that (1 - cos^20) CSc^20 =
(4 Points)
dolphi86 [110]
(1-cos^2(x)) csc^2(x)=1

one of the trigonometry rules is sin^2(x) + cos^2(x) = 1 if you rearrange this you realize that sin^2= 1-cos^2(x)

we also know that csc^2(x)= 1/sin^2(x) so now you can rewrite your equation as:

sin^2(x) x 1/sin^2(x) = 1

sin^2(x)/sin^2(x) =1

the LHS (left hand side) can cancel down to 1 because the numerator and denominator are the same

so then 1=1 Therefore LHS=RHS

Hope this helps
