He was charged by his conspirators as someone whose judgment is delusional because he looks for absolute power over Rome which was not true. His faith in his principles and obedience to the law did not allow him to quit going to the Senate. He does not pay heed to his wife's dream because he was a man of his words.

Caesar's aura and public image was immortal to him and he always has a deep faith on his capabilities.
