A is wrong because Mussolini did not have this mindset. If anything, he would have believe that only Italians were the superior race.

B is the likely answer because Italy wanted to have more power in Europe. By aligning themselves with Germany who also wanted to take over the world, Italy believed that Germany would be more open to the idea of Italy expanding

C is wrong just because it is :D. There was no payment

D is wrong because you don't enter wars because you feel bad for an evil country

E is wrong because this was unlikely as if Germany's power grew, it would be very unlikely for Italy to win a war against them

Explanation: At the end of the 1st World War, the Entente cheated Italy out of territory which went to Yugoslavia. Plus Germany and Italy held the same Ideology which the Allies did not like. As well as the Italy's attack on Ethiopia hurt relations with the Allies as well.
