Answer:

We need to put x = -4 where the question mark lies.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the expression

\left(x^6\right)^0=x^4\cdot \:\:x^?

First, solve the left-hand side of the equation

\left(x^6\right)^0

\mathrm{Apply\:exponent\:rule}:\quad \:a^0=1,\:\quad \:a\ne \:0

Thus, the expression becomes

\left(x^6\right)^0=1

So we have to put the number which can make the right-hand side of the equation equal to 1.

Let's put x = 4 where the question mark lies and solve the equation to check whether the right-hand side of the equation becomes 1.

x^4\cdot \:\:x^{-4}

\mathrm{Apply\:exponent\:rule}:\quad \:a^b\cdot \:a^c=a^{b+c}

=x^{4-4}

=x^0

\mathrm{Apply\:exponent\:rule}:\quad \:a^0=1,\:\quad \:a\ne \:0

=1

Thus, both equations become equal when we put x = -4 on the question mark.

\left(x^6\right)^0=x^4\cdot \:\:x^{-4}

1=1

Therefore, we need to put x = -4 where the question mark lies.

Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

0.66

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a  survey of athletes at a high school is conducted, and the following facts are discovered: 24% of the athletes are football players, 55% are basketball players, and 13% of the athletes play both football and basketball.

Probability for a randomly chosen person is either a football player or a basketball player

=Prob for football player + Prob for basketball player -Prob for both

= 24%+55%-13%\\=66%

i.e. Probability reqd  =0.66

Alternate means they are on opposite sides of the transversal...
Same side means they are on the same side of the transversal..
interior mean they are inside the parallel lines
exterior means they are on the outside of parallel lines.

If you have two parallel lines cut by a transversal there you know that the angles are either going to be supplementary or they are going to be congruent. Those are your only two choices.  Now you just have to decide which is which.

FEG and CBE are indeed supplementary but they don't have a relationship
CBE and DEB are same side interior angles because they are on the same side of the transversal and inside the parallel lines
Answer C is exactly what I said above, they just label B wrong to trick you
FEG and DEB are vertical angles because they are formed by the intersection of two lines and are non adjacent

So answer C would be correct
