Question:

In 2020 the number of students attending school on campus decreased by 40%. In 2019 there were 1,400 kids attending school on campus. How many kids are attending school on campus in 2020?

a 655

b 840

c 942

d 788

Given:

  • No. of students attending school on campus = 1400
  • students attending school on campus decreased by 40%.

Answer :

To find no. of students decreased:

As students in 2020 decreased by 40%.

so equation formed:

=40% of 1400

=(40/100)×1400

=560

To find no. of students attended school campus:

As in 2020, 560 students decreased than 2019 .

So equation formed:

=1400-560

= 840(option b) is correct Answer

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

if you find out 10% of 1400 which is quite easy, just 1400/10, you can multiply that number by 4 and subtract it from 1400 to get 840.

-10 = y/11 - 13

solve for y
Flauer [41]

Answer:

10=y/11-13

We move all terms to the left:

-10-(y/11-13)=0

-y/11+13-10=0

We multiply all the terms by the denominator

-y+13*11-10*11=0

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

-1y+33=0

We move all terms containing y to the left, all other terms to the right

-y=-33

y=-33/-1

y=+33

Solve for x: −2(x + 3) = −4(x + 1) − 4
Stolb23 [73]

Hello! My name is Chris and I’ll be helping you with this problem.

Date: 9/27/20  Time:

Answer:

x = -1

Explanation:

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

−2(x+3)=−4(x+1)−4

(−2)(x)+(−2)(3)=(−4)(x)+(−4)(1)+−4(Distribute)

−2x+−6=−4x+−4+−4

−2x−6=(−4x)+(−4+−4)(Combine Like Terms)

−2x−6=−4x+−8

−2x−6=−4x−8

Step 2: Add 4x to both sides.

−2x−6+4x=−4x−8+4x

2x−6=−8

Step 3: Add 6 to both sides.

2x−6+6=−8+6

2x=−2

Step 4: Divide both sides by 2.

2x  = -2

/2      /2

x=−1

I hope this helped answer your question! Have a great rest of your day!

Chris

Segment MN has endpoints at M(-5, 4) and N(7, -5). What is the midpoint of MN???? PLZ HELP
Paha777 [63]
Theres a formula to find the midpoint it’s... (x1+x2)/2, (y1+y2)/2. You fill in the x’s and y’s to get (-5+7)/2 for x, which equals 1 and (4-5)/2 to get -0.5. (1, -0.5) is your answer
