Answer:

value of expression is 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Expression :- -3xy + 4x

We have to find the value of given equation when x = -4 and y = 2

We need to substitute the value of x and y in the given equation !

- 3xy + 4x = - 3 ( -4 ) ( 2 ) + 4 ( - 4 )

= 12 ( 2 ) - 16

= 24 - 16

= 8

yawa3891 [41]

hi

a ( b +c) =  a*b +a*c

here a = -3

        b = -4x

        c = +5

so :

-3 ( -4x +5)  =  -3*-4x + -3* 5

                   =  -12x + (-15)

                  = -12x -15

as I cannot add  -12x and  -15   ( they are two differents sort of figures )

so it's done
