What is the conflict between modernity and tradition about?

The conflict between modernity and tradition is a conflict in which innovation and new social and cultural trends are pitted against the ancient traditions of the world's societies.
An example of this conflict is how some societies have requested their customs and traditions by acquiring traditions from other places that have become widespread due to new technologies.
Therefore, there must be a balance between both trends so that neither has superiority over the other and the traditions of yesteryear are protected, and progress can be made with the new trends of modernization.
