What are the steps to 50p+5=225 in an equation
sleet_krkn [62]

Answer:

p = 22/5

Step-by-step explanation:

50p+5=225

Subtract 5 from each side

50p+5-5=225-5

50p = 220

Divide by 50

50p/50 = 220/50

p = 22/5

Use the Normal model N(98,15) for the IQs of sample participants. What IQ represents the 17th percentile? Use the appropriate
maxonik [38]

Answer:

=NORM.INV(0.17,98,15)

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider X represents the IQs of sample participants.

Then X follows the Normal Distribution with mean 98 and standard deviation 15.

That is,

     X \sim N(98,15)

The probability value is 17th percentile (that is 0.17)

To find the value of X using Excel, the Inverse Normal Distribution is used.

The Excel function =NORM.INV(0.22,105,17) is used to find the IQs of sample participants.

I have no idea how this works, but that's not the point here. I really need help on this algebra problem;
Ulleksa [173]
Basically you want to make the equation so that you have
x>something or x<something so basically solve for x or isolate x so

a+bx>cx-d
try to get all the x's on one side
subtract bx from both sides
a>cx-bx-d
add d to both sides
a+d>cx-bx
undistribute
a+d>(x)(c-b)
divide both sides by (c-b)

tada

so the solution is

\frac{a+d}{c-b}>x or
x<\frac{a+d}{c-b}
