The prefix would be epi-, as in epidermis. (The outer layer of skin)
Because I talked to them about how I felt after I failed my test, they comforted me.
Example: You cried to a friend about a bad grade and they told you about how smart you are. (Not sure if this was too helpful haha)
During a soliloquy, the character is just vocally presenting his thoughts without regard to the audience. The characters are basically talking to themselves. In an aside, the character wants to talk to the audience and is aware of it.
