Answer:

4,005,090,807

Step-by-step explanation:

4 x 1,000,000,000 + 5 x 1,000,000 + 9 x 10,000 + 8 x 100 + 7 x 1

4 * 1,000,000,000 = 4,000,000,000

5 * 1,000,000 = 5,000,000

9 * 10,000 = 90,000

8 * 100 = 800

7 * 1 = 7

Add it all together and you get 4,005,090,807

I hope this helped. Sorry if you get this wrong.

You are told to divide a polynomial by a monomial, right? A monomial would be something like x + 3, and your polynomial could be something like x^2 + 7x + 12. The remainder theorem tells you that if you use long division to divide the polynomial by the monomial, if you have a remainder, the monomial is NOT a factor of the polynomial. You put the polynomial under the division sign and the monomial outside the division sign and do the dividing, just like you would if you had 80 under the division sign and 10 outside. When you divide the 80 by the 10, it comes out evenly with no remainder. Same thing with this: if you can divide x^2 + 7x + 12 by x + 3 and there is no remainder, then x + 3 is a factor of the polynomial. What's up on top above the division sign is the other factor. So when you multiply the x + 3 by what's on top, you get back your polyomial. It's really a very perfect and cool thing.

The straight line PQ with P(1,6) and Q(-6, 1). PQ is mapped onto P'Q' by a reflection in the line = 2. What are the coordinates
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

P' = (1,-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

P = (1.6)

Q = (-6,1)

Reflection over: y = 2

Required

Determine the coordinates of P'

From the given coordinates, the y coordinates of P is 6 and the line of reflection is at y = 2

Since we are to reflect over y = 2, only the y coordinate of P will be affected.

The idea behind reflecting a point over a line is to have an equal distance between [the original point & the line of reflection] and [the new point & the line of reflection]

So, what to do is:

First, calculate the difference between the y coordinates of P and the line of reflection.

The y coordinate of P is 6 and the line of reflection is at y = 2.

So, the difference is: 6 -2 = 4

Next, subtract the calculated difference from the line of reflection to get the y coordinate of P'

y coordinate of P' = 2 - 4 = -2

Hence, the coordinate of P' is: (1,-2)
