How were the Greeks able to defeat the Persian fleet, even though they were outnumbered? The invasion, consisting of two distinct campaigns, was ordered by the Persian king Darius the Great primarily in order to punish the city-states of Athens and Eretria. Puritans
Kitty [74]

Answer:

Right answer:

a. They wanted to purify the Church of England.

Explanation:

The Puritans did not formally seek to separate from the Church of England nor repudiate it. They critized its practices and ceremonies as too similar to  those of the Catholic Church and asked to get rid of any rituals not found in the Bible. They were a religious reform movement in the late 16th century. Under pressure from the church and the crown , they departed for the New World to found colonies there.

After britain lost american colonies where is one place they gained other colonies
Vladimir79 [104]

After Britain lost American colonies they gained a few new colonies in other areas. In 1713 Great Britain acquired the French colony of Arcadia and soon after the colony of Canada. Also in 1763 Britain acquired the Spanish colony of Florida but the main place where they were able to gain new colonies was in Australia. So although they lost some colonies in America they were still able to acquire others elsewhere like in Australia.
