On the other hand, Calvinists believed that God predetermines who is to be saved and so there is not much that man can do. Predeterminism is the focus of Calvinist followers, based on the teachings of John Calvin. They also believed that with this predeterminism, those condemned by God have no chance of being saved even if they were to live in humility and follow God's laws.
