Answer:

9 1/8

Step-by-step explanation:

1. first take away the fraction part and take the whole numbers off of the numbers and add them!

1 + 3 + 5 =  9

2. now take that aside and keep that for later... now lets focus on the

1/2, 3/4, and the 1/8 these are the STARS you will be focusing on!

3. now, find the common denominator in these fractions!!!

how? here is how!

       1. lets list these fractions:

1/2, 3/4, and 1/8

the common demoninator is <u><em>8 </em></u> because 1. its one of the highest in this set and 2. if you multiply 1/2 and 3/4 n the numerator and the demoentator by 4 they can create  a 8 denminator and then you can add them!

4. Next, I wont be explaning you just watch!

3        x2             6

_     =               _

4          x2            8    (to get to 8 from 4 you multiply by 2! so you do the same for the upper one!!!)

1      x4          4

_     =        _

2       x4        8

you dont do anything to 1/8 because its already part of the eights family! :D

5. I know, it took us a LONG way here but here it is! the final! now, time to add them!

     4/8, 6/8 and 1/8

6. lastly...

1 1/8 + 9 = 9 1/8

Hope this helpes! sorry this was so long!!! :D

A and B are two points on square ABCD with coordinates A(1,3) and B(5,3). What are the lengths of the diagonals AC and BD? Round
lilavasa [31]

Answer:

AC = BD = 5.7

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

A = (1,3)

B = (5,3)

Required

The length of the diagonals

First, calculate the length of AB using:

d = \sqrt{(x_1 - x_2)^2 + (y_1 - y_2)^2}

So, we have:

AB = \sqrt{(1 - 5)^2 + (3 - 3)^2}

AB = \sqrt{(-4)^2 + 0^2}

AB = \sqrt{16}

AB = 4

The diagonal of a square is calculated using:

Diagonal = x\sqrt{2

Where x is the length of each side.

So:

AC = BD = AB\sqrt{2}

AC = BD = 4\sqrt{2}

AC = BD = 5.7 -- approximated

Pam open a bank account with $200 deposit that account had a simple interest rate of 4.6% her most recent bank statement shows a
Marina86 [1]

Answer:

t=14\ years

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The simple interest formula is equal to

A=P(1+rt)

where

A is the Final Investment Value

P is the Principal amount of money to be invested

r is the rate of interest

t is Number of Time Periods

in this problem we have

t=?\ years\\ P=\$200\\ A=\$328.80\\r=0.046

substitute in the formula above  and solve for t

328.80=200(1+0.046t)

(328.80/200)=(1+0.046t)

t=[(328.80/200)-1]/0.046

t=14\ years
