Answer: 3. 5 7/20,

Explanation: I took -3 2/5 and turned it into -17/5 and did the same with 8 3/4 which is 35/4. I gave them both the same denominator so I could add them together and it became -68/20 + 140/20 which equals 107/20

A company charges $211.25 for 5 trees and 15 shrubs. The company charges $15.25 more for a tree than a shrub. How much does each
dusya [7]
(a+15.25)=x cost of each tree
(a•15)=110 cost of all the shrub
(x•5)= 101.25 cost of all trees
110+101.25= 211.25

equatiin all together
[(a+15.25)×5]+(a×15)=211.25

If Sin 3x= Cos (x-60), find the value of x
Kamila [148]

Answer:

x = 15

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming 3x and x-60 are in degrees, you can use:

cos(a) = sin(a+90)

To rewrite the equation as:

sin(3x) = sin(x-60+90)

sin(3x) = sin(x+30)

3x = x+30

2x = 30

x = 15

But, solving 3x = x+30 which simplifies to x=15 is not the only solution to this equation, as you can see in below picture. Finding all solutions is a bit more work, but maybe that is not required in your case.
