Biomass is the dry weight of the tissues, plants and the organic matter which is used for energy production. It is used in various sector as raw materials for production of various types of products.
This can be purposely grown energy crops, wood or forest residues or horticulture, food processing et cetera used for the production of energy.
Burning these biomass generates carbon dioxide in air and energy production for performing various functions.
