a.Stem cells could be modified to produce chemicals that kill bacteria and viruses.
b.Stem cells could potentially be used as a source of renewable healthy cells and tissues.

Ecosystem levels of organization includes abiotic factors.

Answer: Option B

<u>Explanation:</u>

In science, the term species alludes to all creatures of a similar kind that are conceivably skilled, under regular conditions, of rearing and delivering rich posterity. The individuals from an animal type living in a given zone simultaneously comprise a populace. Every one of the populaces living and interfacing inside a specific geographic zone makes up a natural (or biotic) community.

The living life forms in a network together with their nonliving or abiotic condition make up an ecosystem. In general, an ecosystem it can be as little as a couple of mosquito hatchlings living in a downpour puddle or as huge as prairie extending crosswise over a huge number of kilometers.

When two genes from two different people are sequenced and aligned, it is discovered that there are multiple sequence difference
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

The mutations lie at locations where they don't affect protein sequence due to degeneracy of the genetic code.

Explanation:

Genetic code is the set of the triplet codons each of which code for a specific amino acid. The nucleotide sequence of mRNA is read in the form of triplets during the process of protein synthesis and the respective amino acid is added to the growing polypeptide chain. The genetic code is degenerate. This means that more than one triplet code specifies one amino acid and some amino acids are encoded by more than one codon.

For instance, genetic codes CUU, CUC, CUA, CUG specify amino acid "leucine". Therefore, any change in the DNA sequence that replaces one code for the leucine with another would not affect the amino acid composition of the protein. This would result in the synthesis of proteins with the same amino acid sequence from both the wild type and mutated genes.

Explain how warm atmospheric conditions lead to severe storms.
Alchen [17]

Thunderstorms

Layers of warm, moist air rise in a strong updraft to cooler areas of the atmosphere, whereupon thunderstorms form. At that location, the updraft's moisture condenses to create imposing cumulonimbus clouds and, eventually, precipitation.
Thunderstorm development requires three basic components: moisture, an unstable atmosphere, and a method to get the atmosphere moving. To create thunderstorm clouds and precipitation, moisture is required.
The warm air cools and condenses as it ascends, generating tiny water droplets. When there is sufficient instability in the atmosphere, warm air rises swiftly, and the water vapor condenses quickly to form cumulonimbus clouds. Usually, it takes less than an hour for these cumulonimbus clouds to form.

Scientist have been measuring increasing levels of greenhouse gases in Earth's atmosphere. How do increasing levels affect the a
rjkz [21]

Well, we have a book to write on this topic but imma explain it briefly plus simply.

  • Global warming emphasizes the environment with rising temperatures, water shortages, increased fire threats, droughts, weeds and pest attacks, severe storm damage and salt attacks, to name just a few.(In simple words)

Now, we'd go briefly and discuss some common affects briefly :

  1. Hotter days - The climate is getting more and more warmer and year 2015 was the hottest year ever record throughout the history. The Earth's temperature had already warmed by 1°C which is really dangerous.
  2. Rising sea levels - Rising sea levels due to climate change is the biggest problem causing natural calamities. Increased ocean temperatures are melting glaciers and ice caps all over the world. Melted ice increases the volume of water in our oceans. Warmer temperatures also result in the expansion of the water's mass, which causes sea levels to rise, threatening islands and coastal cities.
  3. More frequent and intense extreme weather - Extreme weather events like bushfires, cyclones, droughts and floods are becoming more common and more aggressive as a result of global warming.

Hope it helps <3
