How many lines of symmetry does this figure have?
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

There are two lines of symmetry and here I list them:

1) The first is a horizontal line that divides the square in to even parts such that the top part is the projection of the down one trough the symmetry line (and vice versa).

2) The second one is the vertical line that divides the square in two even sides. Note that this line will also divide both stars at half. The left side will be projected on the right one (and vice versa) trough the symmetry line.

A third line could be thought to be a diagonal between opposite vertices, but notice that the stars projection won't by symmetric in this case.

So, we only have 2 symmetry lines.

Answer:

\log_{10}(147) = 2.1673

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\log_{10} 3 = 0.4771

\log_{10} 5 = 0.6990

\log_{10} 7= 0.8451

\log_{10} 11 = 1.0414

Required

Evaluate \log_{10}(147)

Expand

\log_{10}(147) = \log_{10}(49 * 3)

Further expand

\log_{10}(147) = \log_{10}(7 * 7 * 3)

Apply product rule of logarithm

\log_{10}(147) = \log_{10}(7) + \log_{10}(7) + \log_{10}(3)

Substitute values for log(7) and log(3)

\log_{10}(147) = 0.8451 + 0.8451 + 0.4771

\log_{10}(147) = 2.1673

To find your constant of variation, you just need to figure out what you multiply the x by in order to get f(x). In other words, what do you multiply the 3 by to get 6? What do you multiply the 7 by to get 14? Another way to think of it is to divide f(x) by the x to get your constant.
