A solid object is dropped into a pond with a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. The function f(t)=Ce(−kt)+20 represents the situ
LenaWriter [7]

Answer:

The initial temperature of the object was 37.6 degrees Celsius

The initial temperature of the object was 37.6 (without units)

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

f(t)=Ce^{(-kt)} +20

where

f(t) represent the temperature of the object in degree Celsius

t is the time in minutes

Find the value of the constant C

we have the ordered pair (4,35)

substitute in the equation and solve for C

35=Ce^{(-0.0399*4)} +20

Ce^{(-0.0399*4)}=15

C=15/e^{(-0.0399*4)}

C=17.6

Find the initial value of the object

we know that

The initial temperature is the value of f(t) when the value of t is equal to zero

so

For t=0

f(0)=(17.6)e^{(-k*0)} +20

f(0)=17.6 +20

f(0)=37.6\ degrees\ Celsius

therefore

The initial temperature of the object was 37.6 degrees Celsius

The initial temperature of the object was 37.6 (without units)

How do you translate a figure in a coordinate plane
Helga [31]

To translate a figure on a coordinate plane, it is basically moving it so many units horizontally or so many units vertical by counting the amount of units you have on weather it is positive or negative. If it looks like (7,-2) The 7 is your x value, so you would move it 7 to the right and place your first point there and do that to the rest of your points. Now the -2 is your y value, so you would move your first point down 2 and do that to the rest of your points!

2(b+3c) equivalent expressions
Options:

3(b+2c)
(b+3c) +(b+3c)
None of the above
Lana71 [14]
2(b + 3c) → We first need to simplify this.

Simplify.

2b + 6c

1st Option :

3(b + 2c)

Simplify.

3b + 6c

This is INCORRECT, as it is not equal to 2b + 6c.

2nd Option :

(b + 3c) + (b + 3c)

Simplify.

2b + 6c

This is CORRECT because 2b+6c = 2b+6c

(b + 3c) + (b + 3c) → Answer

~Hope I helped!~
