In which one of the following points does the induced fit model of enzyme action differ from the lock and key model? *

Answer:

The correct option is the last option

Explanation:

Firstly, one must understand that the first three options are generally properties of an enzyme and how an enzyme-substrate (ES) complex is formed during a reaction.

Enzymes bind to substrate in two major ways based on the shape of the active site of the enzyme; the lock and key model and the induced fit. The lock and key model is a model in which the active site ordinarily has the shape that can "accommodate"/bind to the substrate directly without any need for any change in the shape of the neither the active site nor the substrate during the process of formation of the enzyme-substrate complex. The induced-fit model is the model in which the active site of the enzyme and/or the substrate undergoes a change in shape as both of them draw close to each other because they ordinarily cannot fit/bind together; the shape of the active site and the substrate are not complementary.

NOTE: The active site is the part of the enzyme in which the substrate binds to.

What are the 7 terms / groups used in Taxonomic Nomenclature?
vredina [299]

Taxonomy, or taxonomy, is originally derived from the need for scientific classification of species. It now extends to other sciences, including human sciences, information sciences and computer science. Sometimes we call it "taxonomy" to describe the result of a taxonomic activity, that is to say a classification.

The traditional classification is based on a fixed hierarchy of categories (taxon ranks), defined as follows:

Reign (or Kingdom) (there are currently six) → Division (or phylum) → class → order → family → gender → species.

Recovery from the 2008-2009 recession was agonizingly slow. what factors might have constrained faster growth?
Ann [662]
Recovery from the 2008-2009 recession was agonizingly slow due to the following factors:

1. The recession had an impact on most of the industrialized West, not only the United States. As the recession spread to Europe, the United States's biggest market, it had a 360 degree impact on America's exports as well.

2. The US was spending a lot on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. While this was theoretically supporting millions of jobs in the war industry, for the average person, there was no benefit. Billions that could have been used to help people, were used elsewhere.

3. Rising debt was also a problem. The recession opened up the hidden truth behind America's prosperity, the debt problem. Most people and institutions were spending war more than what they had and when the debt started to mount up, there was very little flexibility left.

4. We also have to admit that the response for the recession was too late. Firstly, the government should not have let a recession happen. However, once it did, they waited for Lehman brothers to completely fail before taking concrete actions.
