Answer:

832 votes were cast

Step-by-step explanation:

Danny received  =          5 of every 8 votes

Opponent received  =     3 of every 8 votes

Let V stand for the total number of votes cast.

The opponent's 3/8 of the votes was 312  so  (3/8) times V  = 312

(3/8)(V)  =  312

V  =  (312)/(3/8)              ( i.e., 312 divided by 3/8 )

To divide by a fraction, you invert the divisor and multiply

V  = (312) x (8/3)  =  2496/8  =  832 total votes

A rope is cut into 3 pieces, p,q, and r. The lengths of the pieces are in ratio 3:5:7. If the rope is 33feet 9 inches long find
mel-nik [20]
3:5:7
3+5+7=15
15 units

33ft 9in =15 units
convert to feet
33ft=12in times 33=396in
396+9=405

405in=15units
divide both sides by 15
27=1unit

p=3units
p=3*27
p=81 inches=6ft 9in

q=5 units
q=5*27
q=135 inches=11ft 3in

r=7units
r=7*27
r=189 inches=15ft 9in

p=6ft 9in
q=11ft 3in
r=15ft 9in

Arif and Keisha go to a restaurant for dinner. Their meals total $13.75.The tax is 5%
Hunter-Best [27]
The total cost of the dinner meals taken by Arif and Keisha = $13.75
Percentage of tax that need to be given = 5%
Then
Amount of tax that needs to be given = (5/100) * 13.75 dollars
                                                           = 13.75/20 dollars
                                                           = 0.687 dollars
                                                           = 0.69 dollars
So
The total amount that needs to be
paid for dinner including tax = (13.75 + 0.69) dollars
                                             = 14.44 dollars
Percentage of tips that they both want to leave = 15%
Then
Amount of tips that need to be given = (15/100) * 14.44
                                                           = 216.6/100 dollars
                                                           = 2.17 dollars
So
The total amount that they should leave = (14.44 + 2.17) dollars
                                                                 = 16.61 dollars
So they should leave a total of $16.61 in the restaurant.

No, if Cole can only painting half a room in one day it would take him 2 days to paint a whole room therefore in 7 days he'll only have painted 3.5 rooms, not 7 rooms. Maybe he needs some help
