Number sequences 2, 12, 72, 432, 2592.... is it arithmetic, geometric, or neither?
abruzzese [7]
It is geometric because it is increasing by a common factor. If you multiply the previous number by 6 you receive the next number. If it were arithmetic you would add the number, not multiply.

He sears tower in chicago is 1454 feet tall. calculate its height in meters.
melomori [17]
The Sears Tower is about 443.2 meters tall. To convert from feet to meters, simply multiply by 0.3048. So 1454 * 0.3048 = 443.1792 meters. Since we only have 4 significant figures, the result should also be rounded to 4 significant figures, so we get 443.2 meters.
