WITCHER [35]

English I, II Bell Ringer

Weeks 21/22, Day 1/ 2

LA.910.1.7.7 The student will compare and contrast elements in multiple texts

(e.g., setting, characters, and problems).

Read the passage and select the best answer.

Scott started nodding off in class. Mrs. Thomas tapped his desk as she passed it.

They started off the school year without a teacher and now that they had a teacher

they missed the substitute teachers. The class took advantage of every substitute

teacher that came in to teach. They would take turns dropping books, pass notes all

period, and take turns pretending to sneeze. Each day a different substitute teacher

would show up and every day they did everything they could think of to annoy

him or her. No one learned anything. The new teacher put an end to their antics.

The more disruptive they were, the more homework they received. It was bad

enough that she gave a ton of homework every night no matter how well behaved

they were. Scott looked over at his teammate Brian and smiled. He couldn’t wait

until the track meet this afternoon. Brian was an expert at the hurdles and Scott

was king of the long jump. Scott was having difficulty in school lately. He was

more interested in staying up late watching television and he was having difficulty

staying awake in class as a result. Brian was also struggling but he was having

trouble sleeping at night due to family problems. It seemed lately that his parents

arguments became louder and louder every night.

substitute teachers at the beginning and at the end they had a teacher.

Choice B –This answer is not correct because the passage states that in the end

How environment affect who we are?<br> I want conclusion for this?
jarptica [38.1K]

~Hello!~

The enviorment can affect who we are by the way we see things after looking or witnessing something. For example, if you see something mating, of course that would probably scar you for life. I mean, it would for me. Another way enviorment can affect who we are is by how cold or hot we are. If your in a cold place, your body will try and make your body warmer quicker than a grass-hopper on the run!

Hope that helped you out!
