The radius of the circle on a basketball court is 6 feet. What are the approximate circumference and area of the circle?
AlexFokin [52]
Circumference formula - 2pi(r)
area formula - pi(r)^2
in both of the formulas r is the radius so

to find circumstance: 2(pi)(6) = 25.68 feet

to find area: pi(6)^2 = 113.04 feet

Find the midpoint of the segment with the following endpoints.<br> (5, 5) and (10, 1)
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

(7.5,3)

Step-by-step explanation:

(  (x_1 + x_2)/2, (y_1 + y_2)/2  ) <--Midpoint formula

(5,5) and (10,1) are where you take the x and y values from. The x_1 and y_1 values come from (5,5) and x_2 and y_2 from (10,1).

this gives you (  (5+10)/2, (5+1)/2  )

=( 15/2, 6/2 )

=(15/2, 3)

= or (7.5, 3)

Both bold answers equal the same thing, just depends on if your teacher is asking for it in mixed number form or decimal form.

By the way, I realize it's confusing so the _ is just to show that the following number would be subscript (brainly won't let me show it, so I suggest searching it online if you are still confused..)

Hope this helps!
