GameStop was selling Ps5’s. They sold 100. They sold each ps5 for 500. But they got ps5’s on discount $30 off from each GameStop

. So they bought the Ps5s for $470 but they sold them to the customers for more. How much did they collect/make? How much were their expenses? How much was their profit?

Alenkasestr [34]
So let me give you the answer with procedure so that you can understand it better:
Let x = Number

<span>Product of 9 and Number:</span>
<span>9x </span>
<span>is 12 less than 3 times that number. So: </span>
<span>3x - 12 </span>
<span>Set them equal and solve for x like this:</span>
<span>9x = 3x - 12 </span>
<span>6x = -12 </span>
<span>x = -2
</span>I hope this is very useful for you

6xsquared minus 12x minus 144
Tasya [4]

Answer:

x= -4, 6

Step-by-step explanation:

6x^2-12x=144

(6x^2-12x=144)/6

x^2-2x=24

(x+4)(x-6)=0

x+4=0        (x-6)=0

x=-4            x=6

  • Distance Formula: \displaystyle d = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

<em>Find points from graph.</em>

Point (-8, -1)

Point (-3, 9)

<u>Step 2: Find distance </u><em><u>d</u></em>

Simply plug in the 2 coordinates into the distance formula to find distance <em>d</em>

  1. Substitute [DF]:                    \displaystyle d = \sqrt{(-3+8)^2+(9+1)^2}
  2. Add:                                      \displaystyle d = \sqrt{(5)^2+(10)^2}
  3. Exponents:                           \displaystyle d = \sqrt{25+100}
  4. Add:                                      \displaystyle d = \sqrt{125}
  5. Simplify:                               \displaystyle d = 5\sqrt{5}
  6. Evaluate:                              \displaystyle d = 11.1803
  7. Round:                                 \displaystyle d = 11.2
