Round 76070.7376413 to 2 decimal places
lakkis [162]

Answer:

76,070.74

Step-by-step explanation:

When you round decimals, your looking at the place value, then your looking at the place value next to it.

If you see a number that is 0 - 4 behind the place value your rounding to, you do nothing to the place value.

If you see a number that is 5 - 9 behind the place value your rounding to, you add one to the place value.

Example 1:

Round the Number 71.25 to the Tenths place.

When we go to the place value, Tenths, we go behind the Tenths place value:

71.25

2 is the Tenths place value, 5 is the place value behind the Tenths place value.

Since 5 is able to be rounded up, you add one to the tenths place.

It should be rounded to 71.3. There cannot be numbers where you've rounded, just zeroes.

Example 2:

Round the Number 3,345.8493 to the Thousands place.

3 is the Thousands place, 3 is the place value behind the Thousands place value.

3 is not in between 5 - 9. So, the rounded answer is 3,000.

When numbers behind the Place Value cannot round the Thousands place value, it turns into zeroes too.

Answer:

Round 76070.7376413 to the Hundredths place value.

The 3 is the Hundredths place value, the 7 is the place value behind the Hundredths place value.

7 qualifies for the numbers 5 - 9.

Therefore, you add 1 to the hundredths place value.

Your final answer is (76,070.74)

Best of Luck to you.

Help me with 3, and 5 show your work !
ss7ja [257]
Okay so for number 3, you have to do the top work first.

3: POSITIVE 2!! first, you do the stuff inside the parentheses first because of P(parentheses)EMDAS. so, 14-2-10! -2-10 is -12 and then plus positive 14 is +2. but, the negative sign outside of the parentheses makes that +2 a -2.
but, you cant forget the -12 outside. you have to do -12-2 which gets you -14. then, this is easy! -14 divided by -7 is a positive 2!

5: POSITIVE 3!! again, do the stuff in the parentheses first!! -2-4 is -6. then, -6 x 2 is -12! so, divide -12 by -4 and you get a positive 3!

Find the area of the parallelogram with vertices:________.
marin [14]

Answer:

97.98

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the parallelogram PQR is the magnitude of the cross product of any two adjacent sides. Using PQ and PS as the adjacent sides;

Area of the parallelogram = |PQ×PS|

PQ = Q-P and PS = S-P

Given P(0,0,0), Q(4,-5,3), R(4,-7,1), S(8,-12,4)

PQ = (4,-5,3) - (0,0,0)

PQ = (4,-5,3)

Also, PS = S-P

PS = (8,-12,4)-(0,0,0)

PS = (8,-12,4)

Taking the cross product of both vectors i.e PQ×PS

(4,5,-3)×(8,-12,4)

PQ×PS = (20-36)i - (16-(-24))j + (-48-40)k

PQ×PS = -16i - 40j -88k

|PQ×PS| = √(-16)²+(-40)²+(-88)²

|PQ×PS| = √256+1600+7744

|PQ×PS| = √9600

|PQ×PS| ≈ 97.98

Hence the area of the parallelogram is 97.98

Ken started a savings account for school. He plans on spending 10% of the money he earns for leisure activities. He needs to hav
KiRa [710]

Answer:

He must earn $2,400 to cover both leisure and $2,160 for school expenses.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total amount Ken must earn be k. Then 10% of that would cover leisure activities and the remaining 90% specifically for school expenses.

Then 0.90k = $2,160, and k = $2,400.

He must earn $2,400 to cover both leisure and $2,160 for school expenses.
