Clue 1:
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

The two problems that the transfer of information from DNA to protein must overcome are:

 • How to bring the information from the nuclear DNA to the place of protein synthesis?
 • How to convert this DNA information into amino acids and then into proteins?

Explanation:

The genetic information is found in the DNA and depends on a specific sequence of nitrogenous bases. This information is transcribed into the messenger RNA, whose base sequence is organized into triplets and codons, each of which encodes an amino acid, as well as establishing the pattern for starting and stopping the synthesis of a protein.

How to bring the information from the nuclear DNA to the place of protein synthesis?

The DNA must be transcribed into messenger RNA (mRNA), a process that occurs in the nucleus of the cell. mRNA leaves the nucleus and travels to the cytoplasm, where amino acid synthesis will take place.

How to convert this DNA information into amino acids and then into proteins?

Once in the cytoplasm mRNA binds to ribosomes, structures in charge of translating the sequence of nitrogenous bases RNA to synthesize amino acids. The set of ribosomes and rough endoplasmic reticulum are in charge of the assembly of amino acids to produce peptides and proteins.

When you hear the term mutation, you usually think of change. But how do mutations influence traits that may be inherited?
lana [24]

Hereditary mutation - may be passed to another generation, occurs in gametes, variation that may enhance survival.

Somatic mutation - not passed from generation to generations, occurs in body cells.

Both- changes in DNA.

Explanation:

Mutations are defined as sudden changes in DNA that takes place by changing a particular nucleotide or a portion of DNA, or even a whole chromosome which has potential to change characters of an organism. Mutation was first proposed by Hugo de Vries who is also known as the Father of Mutation Theory.

Mutations can occur in any cell of body. It may occur in somatic cells, or in germ mother cells. But the mutations that occur in germ mother cells are actually the mutations that are carried forward by the gametes into next generations. Mutation in somatic cells get obliterated as the organism dies. And the Mutation in gamete cells are those mutations which are capable to cause variations in progenies which can led to better survival of the progenies.

How does capillary action help sustain life on earth?
Yakvenalex [24]
Answer: A - Uptake of food and water by plants

The xylem vessels in the roots of the plants use the mechanism of capillary action and work against gravity to pull water molecules and nutrients from the soil and carry them upwards to the leaves of the plant to provide nourishment to the plant.
