These include the duty to adhere to moral principles, to take care of one’s family and friends, and to accept responsibility for one’s own actions. Civic responsibilities are responsibilities to the government, like serving jury duty and paying taxes. Personal responsibilities include things we should do (like making moral decisions), whereas civic responsibilities include things we MUST do or face penalty from the government.
