Answer: -20, 6, 2, 5

Step-by-step explanation:

a = 5, b = -4, c = 10

12. ab = 5(-4) = -20

13. b + c = -4 + 10 = 6

14. c/5 = 10/5 = 2

15. c - 5 = 10 - 5 = 5

Solve |x| &lt; 5<br> A{x|-5 &lt; x &lt; 5}<br> B{x|x &lt; -5 or x &gt; 5}<br> C{-5, 5}
ira [324]

When solving an absolute value inequality,

you can split the problem up into two separate inequalities.

The first inequality will look just like the original problem,

minus the absolute value signs (x < 5).

In the second inequality, you must switch the direction

of the inequality sign and make the right side negative (x > -5).

The word “and” is used between the two inequalities when

we  split things up, in this case x < 5 and x > -5.

The word "and" means intersection which means where the graphs overlap.

In this case, that's less than 5 and greater than -5.

In set notation, this reads {x: -5 < x < 5}.

Karl set out to Alaska on his truck.
Serga [27]

Answer:

the amount of fuel consumed every 100 kilometers is 62.5 litres.

Step-by-step explanation:

To determine the amount of fuel consumed every 100 kilometers.

Note: since the graph is a straight line graph (linear graph) the amount of fuel consumed every 100 kilometers is constant (i.e the same for every 100 kilometers). So, we only need to derive the amount of fuel consumed any 100 kilometers on the graph.

From the graph, the amount of fuel consumed for the first 100 kilometers is;

F = F_0 - F_{100} .........................1

F_0 = 500\\F_{100} \simeq  437.5\\

substituting into equation 1.

F = F_0 - F_{100} \\F = 500 - 437.5\\ F = 62.5 litres\\

Therefore, the amount of fuel consumed every 100 kilometers is 62.5 litres.

If a sprinkler waters 1/15 of a lawn in 1/3 hour, how much time will it take to water the entire lawn?
sammy [17]

Answer:

ok so first we know that 1/3 of a hour is 20 minutes since

60*1/3=20

so every 20 minutes 1/15 of the lawn is mowed then we need to just multiply 20 by 15

20*15=300

300 minutes or 5 hours

Hope This Helps!!!
