charle [14.2K]

Answer:

That hope is something that lays within in a person, and has a silent sound so it will not be forgotten, therefore it never stops. Though hope may be silent and not seen, it is still something that lays within in a person who wishes or strives for something.

Explanation:

Taking from what the author has wrote, you can use certain words from it to justify your answer as to what you think the author is trying to convey. I hope this helps!

Complete the sentences with the present perfect form of the verb in brackets. Then choose the correct time adveriabal. 1. Sorry,
olga nikolaevna [1]

Answer:

The correct answers are:

1. Have not phoned / have been really busy.

2. Have been.

3. Has not been.

4. She has known.

5. I have read.

Explanation:

The present perfect verb tense is used for the following things:

  • An action or situation started in the past and continues in the present.
  • An action performed for a period of time not yet completed.
  • An action repeated in a non-specific period of time located between the past and the present.
  • An action that has been completed in the very recent past, indicated by 'just'.
  • An action for which the precise moment in which it occurred is not important.

This verb tense is formed by the auxiliary verb "to have" and a verb conjugated in past participle. If the verb is regular, "ed" will usually be added at the end. Whereas if the verb is irregular, you must learn each of the verbs so as not to make mistakes.

In this way, this verb tense is formed as follows:

I              have  +    past participle

He

She         has + past participle

It

We

They        have   +  past participle

You

City under water

Caroline Deodoro

Abu Dhabi City

June 23, 2020

For two weeks Abu Dhabi City has been suffering a strong impact in relation to the high intensity rains that have been falling in the region.

The unexpected volume of water caused flooding and physical damage to homes, facilities, schools and government buildings. In addition, many citizens have experienced economic losses due to the floods and many have even lost their belongings.

The city now seeks to reduce the problems caused by rain, starting with cleaning all the affected places, thus decreasing the chance of proliferation of diseases that can affect, even more the citizens and cause more harm. However, the government will have a great way to go in reforming the affected buildings and compensating for the loss of city residents.

The heavy rains occurred as a result of a cold fent that approached from the south side of the city, bringing charged clouds that provided a high intensity precipitation.

Although the worst is over, it is possible to see the concern on the residents' faces, that similar problems may occur.

Answer: C. Harry or D. Gretchen

Explanation: I’m not really sure, but both names are usually used to name dogs. But, in my opinion, D. Gretchen would be more correct.
