Answer:

The answer is A^2

Step-by-step explanation:

When you are dividing, You subtract exponents if they have the same base.

The base (variables) are the same. So you subtract the powers.

Which are 5 and -3. You subtract those two powers 5 minus negative -3 which gives you 2. So it's a^-2

Sorry for the long explanation I hope you understand it. And if I made it harder to understand the answer sorry oops have a good day and stay safe ;D.

FIND THE SLOPE OF THE LINE...

A) 1/2

B) 2

C) - 1/2

D) -2
Ainat [17]

Answer:

The slope would be C) -1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

To find it, we need to use the slope formula and two points on the line. The points we'll use are (0, -3) and (2, -4)

m(slope) = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

m = (-3 - -4)/(0 - 2)

m = 1/-2

m = -1/2

Is it possible for 2 lines with negative slopes to be perpendicular? Why or why not?
Setler [38]

Answer:

No

Step-by-step explanation:

Perpendicular lines have negative reciprocal slopes, for example:

2/3 and -3/2

It is not possible for 2 lines to have negative slopes and be perpendicuar. This is because a slope must be negated to get the perpendicular slope.
