On slavery, Jefferson's viewpoint is that issue of slavery should be determined by the incoming generation after them. While Adams held the view that, slavery is a bad activity, which should be abolished during their time.

On Missouri compromise, Jefferson's viewpoint is that the decision of allowing slavery business should be left for the state to decide and not be forced on the state. While Adams did not support the idea of slavery activities in Missouri.
