Domain 4,4,16 Range 4,-2,2 The reason for the other 4 in the domain is because the 4 is representing 2 numbers therefore it’s not a function either.

So the domain is the list of x, or input, values in an relation. They are the numbers that the arrows start at. In this case, the domain is {4,16}.

The range is the list of y, or output, values in an relation. They are the numbers that the arrows are pointing at. In this case, the range is {4,-2,2}.

Now for a relation to be a function, every input must only have 1 output. In this case, this relation is not a function because when x = 4, y = -2 and 2.

P= a+c+b for a<br> Solve the equation simplify
garri49 [273]

Solving for a gives us: a = P-c-b

Step-by-step explanation:

Solving an equation for a variable means that we have to isolate the variable in the equation

Given equation is:

P = a+c+b

For isolating a, subtracting c from both sides

P-c = a+c+b-c\\P-c = a+b

Subtracting b from both sides

P-c-b = a+b-b\\a = P-c-b

Hence,

Solving for a gives us: a = P-c-b

Solve the system using substitution 5y-x=-5 7y-x=-23
dlinn [17]

5y-x= -5      7y-x= -23

x=5y+5

7y-(5y+5)= -23

7y-5y-5= -23

2y= -23+5

2y= -18

y= -9

x= 5y+5

x= (5*-9)+5

x= -45+5

x= -40

Emelina wrote the equation of a line in point-slope form as shown below. (y+4)=3(x+2) What is Emelina’s equation in slope-interc
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:

y=3x+2

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given equation as

(y+4)=3(x+2)

Since, we have to write equation in slope-intercept form

so, we can use slope-intercept formula

y=mx+b

where m is a slope

b is y-intercept

so, we can write our equation in this form

(y+4)=3(x+2)

Distribute 3

y+4=3\times x+3\times 2

y+4=3x+6

Subtract both sides by 4

y+4-4=3x+6-4

y+4-4=3x+6-4

y=3x+2

So, slope-intercept form of equation is

y=3x+2
