Answer:

A substitute good for a premium brand coffee would be a regular coffee or even other beverages such as tea.

Explanation:

In economics, a substitute good is that substitute for another, while one of them may be consumed or used in place of the other in some of its possible uses. Classic examples of substitute goods are margarine and butter, or oil and natural gas. The fact that one product is a substitute good for others has immediate economic consequences. One good can be replaced by another, the demand for the two classes of goods will be considered together because consumers can exchange one good for the other if it becomes advantageous to do so. Thus, an increase in the price of one of the goods will cause an increase in demand for its substitute goods and a decrease in the price will cause a decrease in the demand for its substitutes. Thus it can be predicted that a rise in the price of cars will increase the business of the public transport service or that the fall in prices of mobile phones will mean a drop in demand for public phones.

The answer is  a lower-priced brand of coffee a substitute goods is the type of goods that customers could use as a replacement for other similar products. In this particular case, if the customers do not have enough purchasing power to buy the expensive coffee, they could replace the choice with the cheaper one that exist within their price range.

As part of a statistics project, Charlie would like to collect data on household size in his city. To do so, he asks each person
Volgvan

Answer:

The reason is Charlie chooses the sample which does not requires hard work to extract useful data and other factors were not considered like babies are always part of household size.

Explanation:

The approach was to just completing the task not completing the task with the level of research which it requires. The sample chosen was very small and was not representative of the population. The reason is that the students in the stats class might be from same housing society where millionaires reside. So the sample is inappropriate here because the way a rich people spend his life is different from the labors, etc. So the household matters on the financial status of person, culture, etc. The sample chosen a very small share which was not a random selection.

Secondly, Charlie must consider the age of person that the person is financially responsible to take care of. Because babies are always in the household size and that this information was also not considered necessary by Charlie to extract.
